How scheduling Threads posts works
- Connect ThreadsIn Setup, tap Threads and sign in on Threads’ own screen. No Facebook Page is involved, and Bloom never sees your password.
- Write the postUp to 500 characters. Threads counts some emoji as more than one character, and Bloom allows for that when it fits your caption.
- Add photos or a video, if you likeA text-only post, one photo, one video, or a carousel of up to 20 photos and videos, each photo with its own alt text.
- Pick a timeOr let auto-schedule choose. At that time Bloom publishes the post and tells you how it went.
One post for Threads, Instagram and Bluesky
Most people who post to Threads post to Instagram too, and often to Bluesky. Tick all three in the same post and Bloom sends each its own version: the full caption to Instagram, which allows 2,200 characters, a 500-character version to Threads and a 300-character one to Bluesky. A caption that runs long is shortened at a word, and a link at the end is kept whole rather than cut in half. You can rewrite any version before it goes out.

Results and what is not supported yet
Bloom does not read Threads’ likes and replies yet. Log the numbers you care about in Results and Bloom counts them toward your best days and hours.
- No multi-post threads. Each scheduled post goes out as one post; a chain of replies is still written in Threads.
- Long captions are shortened to fit 500 characters rather than split into several posts.

Do I need a Facebook Page to schedule Threads posts?
No. You sign in with your Threads account on Threads’ own screen.
How many photos can a scheduled Threads post have?
Up to 20 photos and videos in a carousel, or one video on its own, or none at all for a text post.
Can Bloom post a thread of several posts to Threads?
Not yet. Each scheduled post is a single post; a longer caption is shortened to fit.
