Comparison

Bloom vs Metricool

Metricool is an analytics tool with a scheduler attached; Bloom is a scheduler with a money ledger attached. Both have real free plans. Here is where each one’s free plan runs out, what the paid plans cost, and where Metricool is simply better.

Free plan. No card needed. Works on the web, Android and iPhone.

The free plans, side by side

Metricool’s free plan covers one brand, up to 20 scheduled posts a month, 30 days of analytics, and leaves out LinkedIn and X. It includes Metricool’s AI writing tool. Bluesky is in Metricool’s network list; its pricing page names only LinkedIn and X as missing from the free plan, and X needs a paid add-on even on paid plans.

Bloom’s free plan has no cap on scheduled posts or connected accounts and includes Bluesky. Its limits are 500MB of media storage (25MB per file) and automatic X posting, which needs Pro.

If you post more than 20 times a month, Metricool’s free plan runs out first. If you want real analytics without paying, Metricool’s free plan is the only one of the two that has them.

Paid plans

Metricool’s Starter plan starts at $20 a month for 5 brands (shown as €16 a month in euros) and rises to $36 a month for 10 brands, with up to 24% off on annual billing. Advanced starts at $53 a month for 15 brands. LinkedIn opens up on Starter; X is a paid add-on on top of any paid plan.

Bloom Pro is $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, flat, and adds automatic X posting (5 a day, no links), a 10GB vault and files up to 500MB. Plus is $12.99 and lets 1 X post a day carry a link.

So the cheapest paid Metricool is about four times the price of Bloom Pro, and buys a different product: multi-brand management and analytics rather than a personal queue.

What each one publishes

Metricool’s pricing page lists Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Twitch, Google Business Profile and a web or blog feed, with LinkedIn and X held back from the free plan.

Bloom publishes automatically to Instagram, Facebook Pages and Bluesky: photos, carousels and video (a single video posts to Instagram as a Reel), within each platform’s rules. It posts to X on Pro and Plus within the caps below. TikTok videos go to your inbox as a draft, and Reddit, Threads, YouTube and Tumblr get a ready-to-post kit.

Metricool reaches more networks and sends TikTok posts live itself. Bloom matches it on Instagram, Facebook and Bluesky.

Analytics versus money

This is the real difference. Metricool pulls your results from each platform, shows competitor profiles, reports on ads and builds reports for clients. That is what it is for.

Bloom does not import analytics. You log results by hand and it learns your best days and hours from what you logged. What it adds instead is an income ledger: every sale, tip and subscription you earn from any platform, CSV import, expenses and a US quarterly tax estimate. Metricool has nothing like it.

Where Metricool is the better buy

Metricool wins if you need any of these:

  • X is capped. Pro sends up to 5 X posts a day and none of them may contain a link; Plus lets 1 of them carry a link. The other tools don’t cap X posts this way.
  • TikTok is a draft. Bloom uploads your video to your TikTok inbox and you tap to finish it. Most tools on this page publish to TikTok directly.
  • Reddit, Threads, YouTube and Tumblr are kits. Bloom prepares the post for you to paste. That is not publishing.
  • No LinkedIn and no Pinterest.
  • Results are typed in by you. Bloom doesn’t import analytics from any platform, so “your best time to post” only works once you’ve logged a few results.
  • One person per account. No seats, no approvals, no client workspaces.
  • No AI. Nothing in Bloom writes for you. That is a choice, and for some people a dealbreaker.
