How to schedule Instagram posts with Bloom

  1. Switch to a professional accountIn Instagram, go to Settings and switch to a Business or Creator account, then connect it to a Facebook Page. Both are free. Instagram requires this for any app that publishes posts.
  2. Connect Instagram in BloomOpen Setup, tap Instagram and sign in on Meta’s own screen. Use the Test button to check the connection.
  3. Create the postWrite your caption and add one photo, or up to 10 for a carousel. Tick Facebook, Bluesky or X too if you want to cross-post.
  4. Schedule itPick a date and time, or let Bloom auto-schedule it. At that time the post is published and Bloom shows it as live.

Tips for scheduled Instagram posts

  • Front-load the caption. Instagram shows only the start of a caption before “more”, so put the point in the first line.
  • Use carousels for anything with steps. Tutorials, before-and-after shots and lists read naturally one swipe at a time.
  • Keep hashtag sets ready. Save sets in Bloom and add them to the Instagram version only.
  • Schedule for your own audience. Log how posts perform and Bloom learns your best hours. See the best time to post.

Post to Instagram and Facebook together

Most people who post to Instagram also run a Facebook Page. Select both in one post and Bloom publishes to each, with the caption fitted to both. Read more about cross-posting with Bloom or the Facebook Page scheduler.
