How scheduling TikTok videos works

  1. Connect TikTokOpen Setup, tap TikTok and sign in on TikTok’s own screen.
  2. Add your video and captionUpload a video up to 64MB and write the caption you want to use.
  3. Schedule itPick the time. Bloom sends the video to TikTok then and notifies you.
  4. Finish in TikTokOpen your TikTok inbox, paste the caption Bloom copied for you, add a sound if you like, and post.

Schedule a week of TikToks in one sitting

Film on one day, post all week. Bulk scheduling takes up to 60 files at once and spreads them across the days ahead, one to four posts a day, at sensible hours in your time zone. Each video then goes to your TikTok inbox at its own time, and Bloom tells you when one is waiting.

Your TikToks sit on the same content calendar as the rest of your posts, so a gap in the week shows before it happens.

When to post on TikTok

Until Bloom knows your audience it suggests four everyday windows in your time zone: 11am, 3pm, 7pm and 9pm. Bloom does not read TikTok’s numbers yet, so log how a TikTok did in Results and Bloom learns your best day and hour from your own posts rather than a chart made from someone else’s.

Three ways to schedule a TikTok, and who each one is for

“TikTok scheduler” means three different things, and the right one depends on your account and your budget. Facts below are from TikTok’s own help page and each app’s own pages, read on 26 October 2026.

  1. TikTok’s built-in schedulerFree, inside TikTok. It works only on TikTok’s desktop website (not the app, not mobile web), only for a Business Account or an account with 10,000 or more followers, and only 15 minutes to 10 days ahead. A scheduled post cannot be edited, only deleted. If you qualify and post one video at a time from a computer, it is all you need.
  2. BloomFree, any account type, phone or computer, as far ahead as you like, with TikTok on the same calendar as Instagram, Facebook, Threads and Bluesky, and bulk scheduling for a week of videos at once. The trade: the video lands in your TikTok inbox at the scheduled time and you post it with a last tap, which is also where you add a sound.
  3. Paid tools that post directlyApps that have passed TikTok’s audit publish without the inbox step: Buffer (its free plan covers 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel, TikTok included; paid is $5 per channel a month), Later ($18.75 a month billed yearly, no free plan), Metricool (free plan of 20 posts a month, paid from $20), Planoly ($14 a month), SocialBee ($29 a month, one video under 3 minutes and 50MB per post) and Hootsuite ($99 per user a month, Business account required). If hands-off TikTok posting is worth paying for, start with Buffer’s free plan.

Bloom has applied for TikTok’s direct-posting audit. When it passes, the inbox step goes away on the same free plan.

Why the last step happens in TikTok

TikTok only lets apps publish directly after they pass TikTok’s own audit. Until then, apps like Bloom can deliver a video to your inbox but not post it publicly. It has an upside: you can add trending sounds and effects in TikTok before the video goes live.

Photo posts can’t be sent to TikTok yet, so Bloom puts them in a ready-to-post kit instead.

The details: file size, captions, accounts and reminders

Bloom sends video files up to 64MB to TikTok. Free-plan uploads to Bloom are capped at 25MB a file, so a longer clip may need Pro or Plus, which accept files up to 500MB in the media vault while TikTok’s own 64MB delivery limit still applies.

TikTok’s inbox route does not accept a caption from an app, so Bloom copies your caption for you to paste when you finish the post in TikTok. That is also where you add the sound and effects TikTok only offers in its own app.

When the video has been delivered, Bloom sends a push notification to your phone and browser, and an email if you have turned email reminders on. You can connect up to ten TikTok accounts and choose which one each video goes to.

The same video can go to Instagram as a Reel, to Facebook and to Bluesky from the same post, published automatically, while the TikTok copy waits in your inbox. See cross-posting.

Frequently asked questions

Can Bloom post directly to TikTok?

No. Bloom sends your video to your TikTok inbox at the scheduled time, and you post it from TikTok.

What is the largest TikTok video Bloom can send?

64MB per video.

Does Bloom send my caption to TikTok?

Not automatically. Bloom copies your caption so you can paste it when you finish the post in TikTok.

Is TikTok scheduling free?

Yes, on every plan, with no limit on how many videos you schedule. Free-plan uploads are capped at 25MB a file; Pro and Plus take bigger files, and TikTok’s own 64MB limit applies to all.

Can I schedule TikTok photo posts?

Not to TikTok itself yet. A photo post headed for TikTok gets a ready-to-post kit and a reminder instead.

Does TikTok have its own scheduler?

Yes, on its desktop website only, for Business Accounts or accounts with 10,000 or more followers, from 15 minutes to 10 days ahead. Scheduled posts can be deleted but not edited. That is from TikTok’s help page as of 26 October 2026.

Can you schedule TikTok videos for free without a Business Account?

Yes. Bloom schedules TikTok videos on its free plan for any account type, from a phone or a computer, and delivers each one to your TikTok inbox at the time you set. Buffer’s free plan also schedules TikTok, with a cap of 10 scheduled posts per channel.

Can the same video go to Instagram Reels too?

Yes. Tick Instagram, Facebook or Bluesky in the same post and Bloom publishes the video there by itself, while the TikTok copy waits in your inbox.

Write it once. Bloom posts it everywhere.
