What Bloom posts automatically

Platforms decide what outside apps may publish, so automatic posting looks a little different on each one. This is the complete picture today.

What posts automatically on every plan

Instagram posts go out as single photos or carousels of up to 10 images. Instagram only lets apps publish for professional accounts, so you’ll need a Business or Creator account connected to a Facebook Page. Both are free to set up in Instagram’s settings.

Facebook posts go to a Page you manage: text updates, a photo, or up to 10 photos. Meta doesn’t allow apps to post to personal profiles.

Bluesky posts can be up to 300 characters with up to 4 images. You connect with a Bluesky app password, which you can revoke at any time.

X: automatic on Pro and Plus

X charges apps for every post they publish, and about ten times more when the post contains a link. That’s why X is the only platform where your plan matters:

• Free: Bloom prepares the post at your scheduled time and you tap Post.
• Pro ($4.99/month): up to 5 automatic posts a day, as long as they don’t contain a link.
• Plus ($12.99/month): the same 5 a day, and 1 of them may include your link.

TikTok: sent straight to your inbox

At the time you pick, Bloom sends your video to TikTok, where it arrives in your inbox as a draft. You add the caption (Bloom has it copied and ready), pick a sound if you want one, and post. TikTok only allows apps that have passed its audit to publish directly, so this last step happens in TikTok.

Everywhere else: a ready-to-post kit

For Reddit, Threads, YouTube and Tumblr, Bloom builds a ready-to-post kit: caption copied, media ready, and a button that opens the platform. You get a reminder at your scheduled time, post in a few taps, and mark it done. Reddit kits include a title for each subreddit.

Auto-posting that won’t put your accounts at risk

• Accounts connect through each platform’s own sign-in screen, or a Bluesky app password. Bloom never asks for your main passwords.
• Bloom only posts what you wrote and scheduled yourself. It doesn’t like, follow, comment or send messages for you.
• You can disconnect any account at any time, from Bloom or from the platform’s own settings.
• If a post fails, Bloom retries temporary errors twice more and tells you if it still can’t go out.
