How X works on each plan
X charges apps for every post they publish, and more than thirteen times as much when the post contains a link. That makes X the only platform where your plan matters. The arithmetic is in why scheduling tools charge extra for X.

Bloom never removes your link to make a post fit your plan. If a post is not covered, it waits on Home for you, exactly as you wrote it.
How to schedule X posts with Bloom

How Bloom fits a post to X
X doesn’t count characters the way most apps do, which is why a caption pasted in from Instagram so often fails or gets cut in the wrong place. Bloom counts the way X does:
- Every link counts as 23 characters, however long it really is, because X shortens links itself. A long link doesn’t eat your post.
- Emoji and characters such as Japanese or Chinese count double. 280 of them would be 560 to X, so Bloom allows for that before it sends anything.
- When a post is too long, words come out of the middle, not the link at the end. A caption that ends with the link people should tap keeps that link.

Images and video on X
An X post can carry up to 4 images or one video, not both. Images can be up to 5MB each. Videos are uploaded in pieces, the way X requires for anything larger than a photo. You can add alt text to each image so people using screen readers know what’s in it.
If the same post goes to Instagram with 10 photos, X takes the first 4, so put the ones that stand on their own first.

Can I schedule tweets for free?
You can schedule X posts on the free plan. At the scheduled time Bloom has the post ready on your Home screen and you tap Post. Automatic posting to X is on Pro and Plus.
Why does a post with a link need Plus?
X charges apps more than thirteen times as much to publish a post that contains a link: $0.20 against $0.015. Plus covers one of those a day; Pro covers posts without links.
What happens if I go over my daily X allowance?
The extra posts wait on your Home screen, exactly as you wrote them, for you to post with one tap or for the next day’s allowance.
Can Bloom post videos to X?
Yes. An X post can carry up to 4 images or one video, uploaded in pieces the way X requires. Automatic X posting is on Pro and Plus.
